rent: antique primitive low console table

a beautifully worn 19th century cheese press table with an incredible time-softened surface, hand-hewn construction and three carved press discs.

originally used in traditional cheesemaking, the piece now reads as a sculptural low console or display table — especially beautiful beneath artwork, behind a low sofa or styled with books and objects. the irregular patina, age marks and deep variation in the wood are what make this one so special.
